TOP 10 EMERGENCY ITEMS
The top 10 emergency items needed on the day.
- A small sewing kit with a few extra pearl buttons, thread
the colour of your gown, mini scissors, lots of different
sized safety pins (for everything and anything),
sewing tape (for emergency hemming), two extra pairs of
your stockings,
dressmakers chalk (for emergency coverups), superglue (not
for the pageboys mouth!)
- Headache pills for your Mum, bandaids for new shoes,
eye drops, lip balm, any prescription medication you may take,
something for hayfever if the wedding is outdoors.
- A beauty kit with your compact, lipstick, mascara, bobby
pins, mini hairspray, a comb,
clear nail polish (for ladders in stockings), mini perfume
and deodorant.
- A mobile phone and a complete list of phone contacts
of everyone involved in the big day.
- A detailed map of directions to the venue, just in case
your driver gets lost.
- Tissues, tissues, tissues!
- Mints for a kissable mouth and lots of breathy thank
you's.
- A small container of talcum powder. Grease or lippy on
veils and dresses can be dealt
with by sprinkling the talc on the spot. Leave it there
to absorb the grease and brush off
a little later.
- A bottle of very good bubbly, to crack open when the
coast is clear!
- Yourself and your sense of humour - you and your wedding
coordinator have done your
best and now you can enjoy the ride!
